Yes, he needs a Schengen visa (this is good for most of the Western European countries) He'll need another separate visa for Switzerland.

yes he does, you need a schengen visa. It will also give you entry to other european countries. You can also book tours, they get the visa for you.

ya he needs a british passport to go to any country but if he has a indian passport with indifinate leave in uk he needs a visa to go to any europian country.
